A simple grant pipeline
If every grant deadline feels like a last‑minute scramble, it’s usually a sign there’s no clear pipeline in place.
You don’t need fancy software, just a simple list you update regularly can make a big difference. As a starting point, create a basic table to include:
✔️ Funder name
✔️ Area of funding focus
✔️ Potential grant size
✔️ Application process, e.g. online application? Appeal letter?
✔️ Any deadline (or “rolling” if its on ongoing opportunity)
✔️ Target date for when you'd like to apply
✔️ Stage (i.e. researching / drafting / pending / unsuccessful / successful)
✔️ Website link, so you can easily go back to it when you're ready!
Try to block out small, regular slots in your diary in advance, to move things along the pipeline, instead of trying to do everything in a rush the week (or day!) before a deadline 🤯
