A little about me…
Practical fundraising support, rooted in real experience!
Before working freelance, I spent over 20 years working in and leading small charities and social enterprises in Norfolk and Suffolk.
I know what it’s like to be responsible for income, managing shrinking budgets, and balancing fundraising activity alongside everything else.
That experience shapes the way I work, and I aim to bring calm, clarity and focus.
My approach: Honest, realistic and focused on what’s worth doing
I don’t believe in chasing every possible funding opportunity or writing bids for the sake of it.
Instead, I focus on helping organisations:
choose and design the right projects to attract grant funding
identify funders that are genuinely a good fit
make informed decisions about where to focus their energy
avoid spending time on bids that are unlikely to succeed
Who I work with
I work primarily with:
small charities
social enterprises
community organisations
Usually these are organisations without a dedicated fundraising team, or where fundraising sits with a CEO, founder, trustee, or senior staff member, alongside many other responsibilities.
Some organisations need ongoing support, others just need clarity, structure, or a second opinion at the right moment.
Both are valid - and both can make a real difference.
Although I can provide support to organisations across the UK, most of the organisations I work 1-1 with tend to be based in East Anglia.
What you can expect when working with me
practical, straightforward advice
clear explanations, without jargon
honest feedback (including when something isn’t worth pursuing)
support shaped around your organisation, not a generic model
Above all, I aim to make fundraising feel more manageable, less overwhelming, and like you’re not doing it all on your own!
