Easy to find, easier to trust…
Most funders will look you up before making a decision on your application/appeal.
If your website and/or social media are out of date, hard to find, or don’t show what you actually do, it can potentially affect your success, even if your application is strong.
With the number of grant applications soaring, more funders are also closing to unsolicited applications and actively seeking out causes to support instead, making this even more important!
A simple check-in:
✔️ Google your organisation’s name....what comes up first?
✔️ Does your online presence (website, socials, etc) clearly say who you support, where you work, and most importantly....the difference you make?
✔️ Is there at least one recent update or story from the last 6 months?
✔️ Can funders easily find and hear the voices of your beneficiaries, e.g. through testimonials, quotes, and real stories showing your impact?
You don’t need to be everywhere online. Just make it easy for potential funders to quickly see what you do and the difference you’re making in the world 😊.
Small, clear steps here can make a bigger difference than you might think.
